Liturgy

Call to Worship

God sent the Word to dwell among us
For we are God’s people
God sent the Light into the world
And we are called to be bearers of God’s Light
In our time of worship, let us praise God who gives us the power to be Children of God.

Prayer of Approach

In-gathering God,
in this place we meet in community
as we believe you would have us do.
Remind us why we are here:
to praise you,
to hear your summons,
to shine your light in the darkest of corners.
Stay with us during the coming moments
as we share in story, song, & sacrament.
Prepare us for the coming days
to be your voice,
speaking your Word
in our world which is too often
speechless in the face of 
injustice, sorrow, & fear.
This we pray knowing that the new light is shining in our lives.
Hear us as we pray…

8th Sunday after Pentecost

It's the last Sunday of the month and thus it's Interview Sunday. We have our Regional Minister and President Ben Bohren with us this week. I have offered Ben the opportunity to select the scriptures and hymns. What he chose follows.
